Recursive Payments Added

Posted by billbugger on October 31, 2007

That’s right. Bull Bugger now has recursive payments. This option is perfect for those of us that have a car payment, mortgage or anything that will be repeating. It will work for both your personal bills as well as bills that are in your groups.

There are 2 ways to setup a recursive payment. One way can be setup to recur for a set amount of time, and the other is set to recur for the amount each of the payments should be until the given balance reaches 0. I know that sounds kind of confusing, so just go ahead, login and try it our yourself.

As always, feedback is much appreciated!

New Features Coming.

Posted by billbugger on August 9, 2007

I have a few new features coming to Bill Bugger:

  • The first would be RSS Feeds of your unpaid payments. This way you don’t have to visit the site directly to access you list of payments.

  • Second would be a Yahoo Widget that will take advantage of the rss feeds mentioned above.

  • Third will be the OS X Dashboard Widget which will also take advantage of the rss feeds.

  • Forth will be an iPhone widget (i own one, so i’m allowed :-p ). This will basically be a page on the site that will be formatted to work with the iPhone.

  • Fifth will be an integration with iCal/Outlook calendars.

If you have any more ideas, please go over to the bug/requests page and submit your ideas.

Initial Launch

Posted by billbugger on August 9, 2007

Well I have officially launched the beta version of Bill Bugger! This is Version 1.0. I have done as much testing as one person can do with this site.  The initial launch seems to have gone off without a hitch.

First I would like to give thanks and praise to CakePHP. The website is built on the amazing frameworks they have created and are continually making better. Their community of developers are very helpful and are consistently creating tutorials for the framework.

Bill Bugger is a free service and i am taking a different approach to this website vs. the others that are out there. Basically i would like as much involvement with the people using the site as possible. So if your using the site, please submit any bugs you may fined as well as any feature requests you can think of the make the website better. If you know of a bug or have an idea, please visit the bug/request page and submit them.

Also, if you like this site, please tell your friends!

Thanks,

Brian
